"Never" is a lie.

Pinocchio, NIE ist eine Lüge

You want to change. Really change. You stand there and think: "Not sometime in the future, NOW." Not even when circumstances are better. No, now. You've made up your mind so firmly. You know what needs to change.

And then life happens.

The urgent email. The phone call that can't wait. The crisis that feels urgent . Someone else's need that's louder than yours. And once again, you've done the urgent thing. Once again, the important thing has waited.

And in the evening, tired, exhausted, frustrated and a little resigned... this sentence comes:

I will never manage it.

NEVER is a lie.

"Never" is the most dangerous word you can say to yourself. It is absolute. It allows for no exceptions. No memory that it was ever different. "Never" kills the attempt before it even begins. Never doesn't end. It is eternal.

This hamster wheel feels like your truth.

It is exhaustion speaking.

I know that feeling. From personal experience. There was a time when I was stuck in that pattern. Everything felt urgent. Everything and everyone was pulling at me. And I NEVER got around to what was truly important to me.

So I turned my life upside down. I turned off all notifications . I only read and processed emails twice a day. I let go of many things that felt urgent but weren't. And I kept asking myself the same question: Does this bring me closer to my vision?

That was and is a daily decision. Sometimes an hourly one. A huge challenge. And it worked. I paid attention, felt it, and realized: there's another way. Emails and messages don't have to be answered immediately. It was the same with other things in life.

"Never" became: It is possible. I will make it possible.

It's a process, as you can see. If that "never" thing keeps popping up, ask yourself: "When did it work?" Look at the things in life you've accomplished. Probably far more than you think. How did you decide in those situations, and why?

I often hear: "I am being controlled by others."

I understand that, and yet I say: You are controlling yourself according to the needs of others. You have learned that their needs take priority.

This is a pattern. And patterns can be changed.

Veränderung ist möglich

Change happens the moment you make a single different decision. The urgent email that can wait. The five minutes for yourself before you're there for others. And the question that changes everything:

Does this bring me closer to my vision?

If so, do it. If not, let it wait. That doesn't mean you'll never do it. You are priority number one in your life. Act accordingly.

You will make it. NEVER is a lie we've believed for far too long. Don't look at the whole mountain. Just look at the next hour: What one tiny decision will you make differently right now?
